with the filing of Articles of Incorporation and subsequent endorsement by the State of California Secretary of State.  A common misperception residents have of the VVA is that we are a Home Owners Association. This is not the case and it is stated in our By-Laws that we are not a Home Owners Association. We certainly encourage Village Residents to maintain their property in a neat and orderly manner and to improve common areas, but it is not within our perview to enforce this desire. However, like all communities within Santa Barbara County, our residents are required to abide by the "Codes, Covenants & Restrictions" (CC&R) established for our community in 1971.

We help residents resolve complaints they may have by referring them to the appropriate S.B. County office or agency. 

Our focus is improving our community through beautification projects, supporting our local schools and library, and keeping our fellow residents informed of issues affecting the Village.
